At a minimum, you're going to need a Windows
XP, Vista, Linux (kernel 2.4++ or newer), OSX v10.4.x (or newer),
or Solaris 8 (or newer) computer. In order to take advantage of
the VaultletSuite 2 Go's mobile data protection, you should also
have a USB flash drive like
this one.
Windows, Linux and Unix users get everything they need, including the Java Runtime, with version 2.2 or higher of the VaultletSuite installer program.
In the case of OSX, we don't bundle Java with the installer. You can get the latest Java Runtime from Apple by running the "Software Update" program from
within the "System Preferences" application.
Last, but not least, VaultletSuite 2 Go needs approximately 48 MB of free memory. This can be translated into the following rule of thumb: in general, your computer should have a minimum of 512MB
of RAM, and 1GB is preferable. If you must run the VautletSuite with only 512MB of RAM on your computer, at least exit from as many running programs
as possible before starting the application.
